Installation: get the app and set up your account

⚠ Work in progress. This manual is still being written — some sections may be incomplete or change as the app evolves.

Everything you need to get Ro Flight running on your phone — create your account on this website, install the app, and sign in. Once you're in, the Getting Started walkthrough takes you through filing your first flight plan.

Before you start: filing flight plans also requires a working ROMATSA account (username and password from flightplan.romatsa.ro). You can install and sign in without it, but you'll need those credentials later, on the Pilot Profile screen, before you can submit a plan. Ro Flight files on your behalf using those credentials — it does not create them for you.

Step 1 — Create your Ro Flight account (on this website)

Ro Flight needs a licence, which is tied to an account you create here on the website. During Early Access you can claim the free licence that lasts until the end of this year: 31/12/2026.

Open the Create account page.
Enter your email, a password, and confirm the password, then tap Create account.
We email a confirmation link from pedas.software@gmail.com (check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive). Click the link — it opens the email confirmation page and activates your free licence.
Return to the login page and sign in once to confirm your account works.

You can check your licence status and how many devices you've activated at any time on your Account page.

Step 2 — Install the app on your device

Install Ro Flight from your device's app store. On Android, get it from Google Play; an iOS version is on the way and will follow on the App Store.

Step 3 — Sign in

Open the app. On the Sign In screen, enter the same email and password you used to create your account on this website, then tap Sign in. Once your licence is verified, the app opens to your Flight Plans and you're ready to set up your pilot and aircraft details.

What next

With the app installed and signed in, continue with the Getting Started walkthrough — it sets up your Pilot Profile (including the ROMATSA login) and Aircraft Profile, then files a flight plan from start to finish.
